I don’t put much stock into “what everybody else says”,

It’s not to be disrespectful, I don’t rank my opinion over theirs.

They’ll say, “They know, that they understand.”

But what they say, and what it actually means

They could not possibly comprehend.

Because as long as this ragged body still draws breath,

I shall hold a monument for what I have put to death.

For which I’ll have gathered, battling across a raging sea,

Stories sung from the fairest siren,

So iridescent that about her they could only have been.

In a land far, far away, over a zodiac we met. From my car, to your car, that time between I never will forget. But as far and many, memories can go,

The sound of your laugh, and the shape of your smile is the last thing that I hope to know.

For any offense, that I have brought you to bear,

I pray that you understand, to any malice I was to most unawares.

For you are the song that the doves will keep singing, to me as I tread a lonely life. The only one I’ll ever love, and in the end all I brought to you was strife.

I realize that anything that has happened, may be tainted and gangrene

To this I can assure you, a more sorrier sailor there has never been.

So I’ll build this lighthouse upon this stony shore, as tall as my regret can be

And hope someday, I’ll see you passing by

My beautiful white Ruski.

I know I’ve done you wrong

And I can’t possibly make amends for what may have happened. But I promise you, I will do everything I can to make myself better, into a better person, for me…I know you’ve got to do the same for yourself. I can’t take back what I’ve said, or what I’ve done, but what I can do is spend the rest of my days trying to beg your forgiveness, and maybe earn a place back into your life.
